Background. Preschool age is a period of great importance for psychological development and preparation for school. One of the activities that must be formed in preschool age is visual activity, which is of great importance for the overall development of a preschooler. Involving children in visual activity is a step necessary for forming a solid neuropsychological foundation that will determine their success not only at school, but also in life in general.

Objective. The purpose of this study was to apply a program for gradual formation of drawing skills and determine its impact on development in preschool age.

Sample. This study involved 9 preschool children - third-grade students of a preschool institution. A qualitative assessment of visual activity was applied to all participants before and after inclusion in the experimental program.

Methods. To achieve this goal, an intervention program was implemented, which consists in gradually teaching drawing to children in their third year of preschool attendance (Solovieva, Quintanar, 2016). All children were given the same qualitative assessment tool for the development of drawing skills before and after the application of the program (Solovieva, Quintanar, 2016).

Results. The data obtained allow us to state an improvement in the results of the final assessment, which revealed qualitative and quantitative changes.

Conclusions. It was shown that the program for the gradual formation of drawing skills had a positive effect on the acquisition of visual activity.

The relevance of research. The changes taking place in society and culture affect the transformation of such a socio-cultural phenomenon as childhood. Obtaining current knowledge about childhood makes it possible to predict the features of the future society, the adult population of which will consist of modern children. Obtaining data on the similarities and differences of ideas about childhood in children and adults can allow us to build effective educational work with parents. This will help adults better understand children, change the educational and the pedagogical process in accordance with the needs, values, and problems of modern preschoolers. The article presents the results of a study of the peculiarities of ideas about childhood as a phenomenon in older preschool children and parents of older preschoolers and designing on this basis of an educational program for parents.

Organization of the study. The aim of the study was to develop methods and conduct a comparative analysis of children’s and parents’ ideas about childhood and to develop a program of educational activities taking into account the identified features. Diagnostic research tools included modifications of "soft" methods (S.N. Mayorova-Shcheglova): the sociographic method (drawing on a given topic "Children and their childhood", analysis of the depicted event) the collision method (analysis of the verbally presented situation) and the comic book method (inventing the child's replicas of the hero in the presented situations). In addition, an auxiliary method was used – a conversation – for the interpretation of children's drawings and a modified projective technique "Ladder".

Research results. As a result of the study, comparative data were obtained on the specifics of ideas of different generations about the phenomenon of childhood, the peculiarities of the understanding of childhood by modern children and modern parents were identified, on this basis a program of educational activities for parents was developed and tested. The program of educational activities: is focused on the development of parental competence as an integrative ability to solve the problems of development and upbringing of children, which involves the implementation of comprehensive educational work, including stimulating motivation, position formation, enrichment of ideas and the formation of practical skills; involves the organization of a system of individual support of parents, a variety of forms of work, the development of parental reflection, stimulating independence and awareness through keeping a personal diary; practice-oriented, illustrated with a large number of examples and cases from real practice; involves updating the existing experience of parents, helps everyone see points of their own growth.

Conclusions. The program of educational activities was designed on the basis of the data obtained on the specific ideas about the phenomenon of childhood of older preschoolers and parents and is focused on the problems of raising a child in a family that are relevant for modern parents and children.

The authors of the article draw attention to the peculiarities of developing cognitive and creative activity in pre-school children in the context of pre-school education reforms. It is noted that the activities of a modern kindergarten are based on “favorable socialization of children” in the process of their assimilation of social life experience and relationships. This requires establishment in the preschool educational of a livelihood that would not only be safe but also filled with a variety of events; it also requires close interaction between children and adults in the educational process at the level of equal partners. The described model of innovative activities of a pre-school educational establishment is dedicated to the issue of formation of children’s cognitive and creative activity by means of familiarizing with the origins of the Russian folk culture is exactly the one that entails a variety of events and such a type of interaction with children when the adult deliberately tones down his or her subjectiveness in favor of the child, providing the latter with space for self-development.

Relevance (context) of the subject of the article. The role of the play in preschool age is a priority. At the same time, the predominance of the cognitive dominant in educational standards has an adverse effect on the full living of a child of preschool childhood. When discussing the problem of standardization of education, special attention is paid to the forecasts of D.B. Elkonin, that did not loose their importance today regarding the reform of education in general and preschool education in particular. It is noted that the idea of “high standards of education”, implemented through the introduction of programs for the early development of intellectual skills in children and their preparation for the use of high technologies in the future, simplifies the development of a preschooler.

Organization of the research. The purpose of the study was to determine the presence of ontogenetically successive types of play in the system of additional education of preschoolers. The research method was a content analysis of the content of advertising products for services offered by institutions of additional education for children of early and preschool age. More than 500 advertisements have been analyzed. The analysis showed that the list of proposals is dominated by areas focused on the knowledge component, many of which prevent the formation of age-related neoplasms.

Research results. The results of an analytical study of the services offered by institutions of additional education for young and preschool children indicate the dominance of the school preparation service, the implementation of which begins from 2–3 years of age. The ratio of “developing” services for children offered by extracurricular institutions is shown, in which there is completely no orientation to the leading type of activity of a preschooler – the play. It is indicated that the implementation of both basic and additional education for preschool children in modern conditions is carried out with the predominant use of school forms and teaching aids.

Conclusions. The analysis showed that the use of school forms, methods and techniques when teaching preschoolers in preschool and additional education institutions outside the reliance on the leading type of activity deprives children of a full-fledged childhood. Limited by the framework of educational and other standards, preschool childhood today is deprived of the means to construct the image of adulthood, the image of the social future and the prospects of one’s own individual formation.

Relevance. The problems of aesthetic education of preschool children are caused by the increasing need of society for creative personalities. Musical art most effectively contributes to the development of a holistic, versatile and developed personality, the formation of its cultural potential, as well as needs and interests, therefore it should be one of the fundamental components of modern education. The article presents the results of a theoretical study and practical testing of the problem of the formation of musical and aesthetic ideas in children of senior preschool age.

The aim of the study is to develop a system of performing activities for preschoolers, which ensures the formation of their musical and aesthetic ideas. The methodological basis of the study was a culturological approach that determines the development of a pedagogical model of the aesthetic development of a personality, which ensures activity and independence in activity; the principle of cultural conformity, which acts as a special pedagogical technique for acquiring knowledge by activity, in the process of mastering musical culture.

Research progress. Experimental work was carried out with chilren of senior preschool age (6–7 years old) in the village of Podgorodnyaya Pokrovka, Orenburg region. The experiment consisted of three stages, within which we identified the existing levels of musical and aesthetic representations in children of senior preschool age, implemented the pedagogical conditions for the formation of musical and aesthetic representations in children by means of performing activities, and tested the effectiveness of pedagogical conditions.

The practical significance consists in determining the content of performing activities of older preschool children in preschool education, which ensures the positive dynamics of the formation of musical and aesthetic ideas; structured pedagogical diagnostics of musical and aesthetic ideas of children of senior preschool age.

The results of the study can be used by teachers of preschool educational organizations and institutions of additional education, students of pedagogical universities and students of pedagogical colleges; useful in the development of educational programs for preschool and additional education.

Conclusion. The system of formation of musical and aesthetic ideas in children of senior preschool age in performing activities is determined by a special set of pedagogical conditions: determining the content of musical and performing activities of children of senior preschool age; provision of a creative musical and educational environment in a preschool educational organization that promotes the formation of musical and aesthetic ideas in children; organization of interaction with the parents of pupils on the formation of their musical and aesthetic ideas.

Research on the predictivity of activity settings, preschool teachers’ activities, and children’s activities for interaction quality is inconsistent and cannot be transferred easily to specific national preschool contexts. The present study addresses this issue by assessing the interaction quality of 185 children aged 3–5 years attending 61 preschools in Austria using the Individualized Classroom Assessment Scoring System (inCLASS). Activity settings and activities were captured using a time-sampling method. Having included control variables, regression analyses revealed that scaffolding was positively related to children’s interactions with teachers, free choice was positively related to interactions with peers, and ‘high-yield’ activities were positively related to interactions with peers and task orientation. Teacher-led activities and scaffolding were negatively related to interactions with peers, and ‘low-yield’ activities were negatively related to interactions with peers and task orientation. Effect sizes ranged from small to medium. The findings indicate that opportunities to support children remain untapped.

The relevance of the topic of the article. Creating conditions for the harmonious and versatile development of children in all educational areas of the federal state educational standard of preschool education is one of the most difficult tasks in the work of an educator, since in the practice of kindergartens a differentiated approach is often used to organize the activities of a preschooler within one educational area. The project method is increasingly used as a means of integrating educational areas in the interaction of a teacher and a child.

The aim of the study. The work is aimed at studying the features of the application of the project method for organizing the educational activities of preschoolers and revealing the technology of the project method as a means to improve the quality of interaction between the teacher and children based on the unification of participants in the educational process around a common topic.

Description of the research progress. The project method is considered in the context of John Dewey’s ideas of educational transformation and instrumental pedagogy. Particular attention is paid to the history of the origin of the project method and its connection with the philosophy of pragmatism. A parallel is drawn between the socio-economic factors that led to changes in the approaches and methods of teaching children at the beginning of the last century, and modern challenges associated with the influence of information technology on communication between adults and children. The classification of projects for preschool age is given, the stages of project activity implementation are described, a detailed list of thematic areas for educational projects of preschool groups is given.

The results of the study. As a practical tool, the article describes a set of projects aimed at introducing children to the history of the Great Patriotic War. The complex includes four educational projects of a cognitive, artistic and aesthetic orientation, compiled for each age group of a preschool organization. Revealing the content of the projects, their main tasks are formulated, the forms of the teacher’s work and the types of children’s activities through which the tasks set will be solved. Each project provides for a starting event of a problematic nature, which will serve as a reason for the beginning of joint research and creative activities of the teacher and children.

Conclusion. Materials on the history of the emergence of the project method in pedagogy allow us to draw parallels with our time and highlight the problems of modern preschool education, the solution of which can be facilitated by the use of this pedagogical technology. The project method can be used as a means of integrating educational areas and organizing cooperation between the teacher and children in the process of communication and joint activities on the topic. The problematic approach underlying the project method is an actual tool for developing the ability of preschoolers to set a goal for future activities, to put forward hypotheses, to seek and find means to solve the problem. The given descriptions of the Victory Day projects can be used in the work of preschool educators as practical recommendations for organizing educational activities within the framework of using the project method.

The relevance of the topic of the article. Modern parents of preschoolers are active participants in the educational process. Their satisfaction is an important criterion for assessing the quality of education. Studying their opinion is an effective tool for systematic improving the quality of preschool educational institutions.

The aim of the study. Identification and description of the reasons for the dissatisfaction of parents of Moscow preschool institutions. Methodology: thematic semi-structured interviews.

Description of the research progress. The sample consisted of 20 mothers of children aged 3 to 7 attending kindergartens of various types and forms of institutions in Moscow. Parents were asked to tell about the choice of kindergarten, subject-spatial environment, daily routine, supervision and care of children, interaction between teachers, children and parents, types of activity, development of speech, thinking and educational program. The spontaneously mentioned causes of dissatisfaction were thoroughly investigated. The thematic framework for the questions was the ECERS international scale and works devoted to identifying the correlation of parental involvement and their level of satisfaction.

Research results. Among the main groups of reasons for dissatisfaction with preschool educational institutions, “interaction” is leading by a wide margin, implying the quality of interaction between children, educators, administration, and parents. It is the reasons for the “interaction” group that become the critical point for transferring children to another preschool. Among the main complaints are: the individuality of the child is not taken into account; tough discipline; strict, rude, unprofessional educators; the authoritarian position of the head towards parents; poor quality of feedback; relationships with peers. The group “types of children’s activity” has the potential to become as significant as “interaction”: when choosing a kindergarten, parents pay attention to the presence and variety of circles, in the private sector they are ready to take their child further for the sake of quality classes. Parents are rather satisfied with supervision, care, compliance with the temperature regime, the subject-spatial environment. The group “development of speech and literacy” stands apart: parents do not mention this topic. They are either poorly informed about the kindergarten program, or consider this aspect unimportant.

Conclusion. Satisfaction of parents as active participants in educational process is one of the important criteria for assessing the quality of preschool education, and dissatisfaction is a marker for the necessary improvements. If the administration and teachers, when assessing the quality, evaluate the group and the kindergarten as a whole, that the comfort and emotional well-being of their own child is important to parents. This means that the individual approach and personal development are at the forefront. The main attention should be paid to the quality of interaction between children, parents and the kindergarten staff and to the quality and variety of types of children’s activity. These studies of the causes of parental dissatisfaction can be useful for heads of preschool educational institutions of various forms of ownership to improve the quality of services provided and develop a marketing strategy.

The relevance of the topic of the article. Support for the role-playing game of preschool children is going through a crisis, largely associated with a change in the content of children’s experience. Research that consider the possibility of reflecting literature experience in a role-playing game are few. At the same time, their analysis shows that such experience can have a significant impact on the content and structure of the role-playing games of preschoolers.

The aim of the research was to study the possibilities of reflecting the literature experience of children, received in the family, on the nature of the construction of role-playing games.

Description of the research progress. The sample consisted of 15 children from 4 to 7 years old and 15 mothers who are regular participants in role-playing games organized in the context of non-formal preschool education (community for supporting role-playing games). In the beginning, a sequence of reading fairy tales to children was organized with the family. The first of the tales is based on the external confrontation of warring heroes, and the second is based on the internal conflict of the heroes and their search for the place in the world. Further, 6 role-playing games were organized supported by the plots of fairy tales based on the model of building a two-stroke game (L.I. Elkoninova). The experimenter motivated the children to play with his involvement in the plot of the game and the support of the two-stroke structure of the fairy tale plot. At the final stage, the features of the reflection of reading experience in a plot-based role-playing game were analyzed according to specially developed criteria.

Research results. It was found that a fairy tale plot, in which there is a confrontation between two warring parties, often causes negative emotions in children in the process of reading and, as a result, a reluctance to get involved in a game according to a given plot. A fairy tale plot, where instead of an external confrontation there is an internal conflict of heroes, it evokes positive emotions and research interest in children, which leads to the desire to actively participate in a role-playing game based on this plot, to bring their own vision and meaning into the storyline.

Conclusions. Role-playing game based on a fairy-tale plot allows children 4-6 years old to reach a new level of development of play activity. Changes were recorded in in-game interaction, the level of the game design, its stability and implementation. The greatest growth in game indicators was noted in role-playing based on a fairy tale plot, in which there was no confrontation between good and evil heroes, the smallest growth was observed in games based on a fairy tale plot based on an external conflict of heroes.

This paper reports on a case study which explores the co-creation of a zone of proximal development (ZPD) in a mathematics teaching-learning activity in a Norwegian kindergarten. To capture the complexity of teaching and learning mathematics in kindergarten the study uses qualitative methods within an interpretative paradigm. The findings illustrate how a five-year-old girl and a kindergarten teacher co-create a ZPD by expanding each other’s action possibilities, and how the co-creation is fundamentally based on mutual trust and responsibility. The results give insights into how mathematical learning possibilities may be promoted in kindergarten. The study illustrates the importance of being receptive to children’s contributions and, above all, to trust children’s abilities to take responsibility for moving mathematical teaching-learning activities forward.

Relevance (context) of the article. The analysis of the sources shows the effect of the P. Ya. Galperin’s theory of step-by-step development of intellectual activity. Relevance of the study is evident both at the level of fundamental general psychological mechanisms of intellectual processes, and at the level of educational technology development. P. Ya. Galperin’s theory has found its usage in developing methods for correctional and educational work in teaching children with disabilities.

The purpose of this paper is to show relevance of P. Ya. Galperin’s theory implementation, when developing methods in correctional education to form intellectual activity in preschoolers with intellectual disabilities.

Description of the research. The thesis reveals gradual development of intellectual activity in preschoolers with intellectual disabilities. There is an author’s method of forming intellectual activity in preschool children with intellectual disabilities. This method is presented on the example of actions of assigning the subject to the standard of form and direct quantitative counting. It is used in preparing children for school. This study is implemented in the educational field Intellectual Development. It is possible to use this method in the future to ensure preschool education of children with intellectual disabilities.

Findings. The research studied formation of a perceptive ability to match a particular object’s properties with the set standards of form and the ability to make direct quantitative calculations when using the method based on P. Ya. Galperin’s theory. The study revealed that, though the tasks at each stage of learning were getting more and more complicated, the intellectual activity acquirement was progressing. This is shown through preschoolers with intellectual impairments being more independent from an adult’s help and being able to shift to a more ‘reduced’ action according to P. Ya. Galperin. The distinguished gradual development of intellectual activity (first shifting from conceiving the task to acquiring the intellectual action in the tangible and physical way, second shifting to handling the observed objects without motor actions involved, finally shifting to prospective planning of the action) has proven to be effective when assisting a child in forming various intellectual actions, such as objective figure modeling, objects size-ranking, comparison, qualitative division, etc.

Conclusion. The method of forming intellectual skills in preschoolers with intellectual disabilities, built on the principle of gradual development of intellectual activity can be widely used in correctional, developmental and educational work. This study is possible to go beyond the actual intellectual development and be used in other educational areas of preschool education of this group of children.

Relevance (context) of the subject of the article. The article presents the results of a study of the problem of social development of a preschooler as a subject of activity and behavior in a preschool educational organization. Ensuring effective social development of the child is an important aspect of modern preschool education. It involves teaching children social interaction, the formation of the initial foundations of social competence. For this, in the organizations of preschool education, it is necessary to create a developing space for the formation of the child’s social experience. However, the organization of the process of social development has not yet acquired a complete conceptual, methodological and technological basis. The possibility of preschool children manifesting subjectivity in the process of social development is largely limited, and the educational environment of preschool educational institutions does not sufficiently provide a developmental component.

The purpose of the study is to determine conceptual approaches to the social development of preschoolers and the readiness of preschool educators to implement it. The understanding of the characteristics of social development and the psychological and pedagogical conditions necessary for its implementation was analyzed by teachers.

Description of the research. The study involved 48 educators from 5 preschool educational organizations in Birsk, Republic of Bashkortostan. Educators were asked to answer questions that reflect their understanding of the characteristics of the child’s social development, its organization. In the course of the research, a specially developed questionnaire was used.

Research results. Issues in the understanding by teachers of preschool educational organizations of the peculiarities of organizing the process of social development of preschoolers were revealed. The formation of subjectivity presupposes the construction of internal culture, internal freedom and true sociality. The basis and driving force of the social development of the individual is joint activity, in which the individual assimilates social roles. The article reveals the initial provisions about the child as a subject of children’s activities and behavior in preschool age, methods of social development of preschoolers.

Conclusions. The study allows us to see the need for changes in the implementation of social development in preschool education. Important aspects of the transformations, based on the concept of the child’s development as a subject during preschool childhood, are updating the content of social development in preschool education, types of children’s activities, the development of new forms and methods of interaction between the teacher and children. Among the methods and technologies of social development, the leading should be active and interactive, in which the child acts as a subject. For this purpose, a heuristic, productive educational environment should be created in preschool educational organizations.

The article discusses the problem of reduced play activity of a modern preschool. An overview of the research on the importance of the play as a factor in the development of the child in the preschool period of childhood is presented. The concept of «play dysontogenesis» is introduced, which means violated, not corresponding to psychological laws development of the play in preschool age due to a number of socio-cultural and educational factors. The reasons for the occurrence of play deprivation are revealed, which have a negative impact on the normal development of the child and the formation of the main neoplasms of preschool childhood. It has been shown that the simplification of the children’s play leads to mental and personal infantilism, a decrease in the ability to plan one’s own actions, a delay in the formation of significant mental functions and personality aspects, and a socio-normative disorientation of a growing person. Based on the data of individual authors and the materials of earlier studies, we suggest a high risk of the formation of various psychological dependencies and deviations, the emergence of play addiction and other socio-behavioral deviations as a result of a lack of play in preschool age. The results of familiarization with training curricula for preschool educational institutions are discussed, which indicate the complete absence in many programs of universities of theoretical disciplines, practical courses and workshops on psychology and pedagogy of children’s play, including applied aspects of teaching future educators how to organize and accompany preschool play. The conditions for the rehabilitation of the play as a unique social, psychological, cultural and age phenomenon, proposed by E.O. Smirnova as fundamental measures in modern preschool education, are outlined.

Relevance (context) of the subject of the article. The problem of creative abilities is becoming increasingly important in two contexts at once – both in the context of human self-realization, and in the context of the development of practices and production. A special place is occupied by the development of creative abilities in preschool age: even in the works of Lev Vygotsky, it was said about the importance of considering the germs of creativity in the game and fantasy of children. Today, within the framework of the cultural-historical approach, there are a number of scientific schools that study the possibilities of diagnosing and developing children’s creativity.

The aim of the study is to analyze the approaches to the study of children’s creativity in cultural-historical psychology in order to understand what answers to the questions posed by Lev Vygotsky, were discovered over the past decades, and what remained unanswered. It is also important to see how the questions themselves were transformed, since the raising of a new question is a sign of the development of science. The correlation of existing approaches is important for the development of new research programs in the logic of cultural-historical psychology.

Description of the research. The article analyzes various approaches to the research and development of creative abilities: V.V. Davydov and V.T. Kudryavtsev, D.B. Bogoyavlenskaya, N.E. Veraksa and O.M. Dyachenko, V.N. Druzhinin, L.F. Obukhova. The general and specific characteristics of the interpretation of children’s creativity in different approaches of the cultural and historical tradition are highlighted. The conducted research correlates with the questions about the creative nature of the human psyche and about children’s creativity, posed by L.S.Vygotsky.

Research results. The article concludes that despite all the differences in the approaches that have appeared in the logic of the cultural-historical tradition, they are united by the idea of the resourcefulness of preschool childhood and the importance of educational efforts aimed at maintaining the “sprouts of creativity”. In Russian studies, the question is raised about the means of creative abilities that allow us transforming the present situation (dialectical structures and symbols), as well as about the affective-volitional component of the creative process – the ability to detect a task. All this distinguishes the concepts that were born within the framework of the cultural-historical approach from the theory of creativity by J. Guilford and E. Torrance. At the same time, it is indicated that children’s activities (playing, storytelling, experimentation, etc.) are still rarely considered in research as a context for the manifestation of creative abilities.

Conclusion. The article concludes that it is important to conduct new research, both ascertaining and longitudinal, which will allow us to take the next steps in understanding how the means of developing creative abilities are mastered in children’s activities and how this affects the formation of creative abilities in subsequent ages.

The theory and research described in this article is based on the Vygotskian approach to human development. As this theory suggests, the promotion of semiotic activity in children is essential for their cultural development. It is argued in this paper that the promotion of semiotic activity in young children within the context of their play activity is an important aspect of the improvement of early childhood education. In a small scale exploratory study we observed pupils of 4-6 year old playing together with a train set. During this play the children were encouraged to make a diagram of their railway track. By analysing their play activity and their schematisations, we tried to find out whether (and how) the promotion of semiotic activity would be possible without affecting the play character of the children’s activity.

The relevance of the study is determined by the need to develop cognitive and executive functions of children of senior preschool age, to prepare them for primary school. Studies show that the relationship between physical and cognitive activity is complex and diverse: in some cases, physical activity affects the development of cognitive and regulatory functions, while in others it does not. We found an unusual form of physically active dance activity. Acrobatic rock-n-roll turned out to be the dance that children like.

The purpose of the study is to conduct a pedagogical experiment, justify the criteria, develop recommendations for the implementation of the relationship between physical and cognitive development of children.

The novelty of the study lies in the use of acrobatic rock and roll as a physically active instrument, as a criterion for the effectiveness of the relationship between cognitive and physically activity.

The research methodology relies on a provision stating that the external and the semantic side of speech is the unity, which is a verbal thinking (Vygotsky, 1999), and structural approach to the analysis of speech (Morgenthaler, 1980), dialectical – creative activities for children (Veraksa, 2020).

The results showed a noticeable positive shift in the experimental groups in ability to convey the theme and idea of the tale - 73% of children and in the control group - 54% of children.

Early career guidance – helping a child in pre-professional self-determination, choosing a suitable type of work, taking into account his needs and capabilities – is an essential condition for training professional personnel capable of ensuring Russia’s global competitiveness. It is necessary to start early career guidance from kindergarten, since it is during preschool childhood that a child develops an attitude towards work, professions, and a model of work activity. Early career guidance is included in the educational program of the preschool educational institution (area “Social and Communicative Development”) as an integral part of the full development of the individual. However, in the mass practice of kindergartens, early career guidance most often comes down to acquainting children with professions and types of work and the formation of a value attitude to work and representatives of professions. At the same time, children are not included in real professional activities, they can’t try themselves in different professions. This article proposes a means of strengthening the practical orientation of early career guidance of preschool children – including them in trial professional activities in specially equipped centers of professional tests based on the kindergarten and its social partners. The authors analyzed the available scientific research, innovative projects and programs for early career guidance implemented by kindergartens. The experience of organizing professional mini-tests for preschoolers, available in the kindergarten of the Chegdomyn village, was studied. The ways of developing this experience are shown through the creation of centers for professional tests based on kindergartens and its social partners, equipped with modern professional realities and safety requirements of preschoolers, and organizing children’s trial professional activities in them during regime moments as part of the “Professional Navigator” program (component variable part of the main educational program of preschool education). The article reveals the conditions for the inclusion of preschool children in trial professional activity.

This article is focused on the study of the role and content of the system of physical education of preschool age children with developmental delay. The author notes that in the development of higher nervous activity and mental functions of human, scientists put emphasis on the importance of the influence of motor analyzer.

Systematic usage of means of physical training allows to prevent the occurrence of secondary deviations in physical development and promotes intensive social integration of children with development delay. The system of physical education in special education gives the chance to the preschool child with development delay to become a full member of society, to actively participate in the further school life, to develop potentialities and to show the natural abilities.

The article also emphasizes that physical development should be an important part of the general system of education, upbringing and correction of children with intellectual disabilities. The main purpose of physical education of children of this category is defined by the author as correction and compensation of physical development defects, general and fine motor skills that hinder successful learning and upbringing.

The key directions of rehabilitation work with children of preschool age with development delays are defined as: improvement of basic motor functions and sensory sphere; development of fine motor skills of hands and fingers; improvement of articulation motor skills; correction of separate sides of mental activity; improvement of spatial representations and orientation, auditory attention and memory; development of different types of thinking; correction of disorders in the development of emotional-volitional sphere; formation of speech breathing; strengthening of general health.

Training of separate movements, elements of actions, bringing them to variant automatic performance, combining these elements in conscious activity are at the heart of the system of physical training of preschool children with development delay.

The article presents the results of a study on the integration of children’s reading and playing practices implemented within the framework of the Federal innovation platform – kindergarten No. 8 of the Central District of St. Petersburg on the topic “Designing Practices for the Education of Preschool Children in a Changing Sociocultural Situation”.

The aim of the study was to study the possibilities of enriching the practice of subject-role play of children in various age groups (3-7,5 years) as a result of testing the technology of productive reading when children get acquainted with the modern world bestseller of children’s literature, J. Donaldson “Snail and Whale”. It was found that the technology of productive reading has a high developing potential both for organizing children’s perception of the book and understanding its meaning, and for the natural display read in the conditions of play activity. The monitoring and quality analysis of playing activity of children 3-7,5 years revealed that the implementation of the technology of productive reading with preschool children allows, on the one hand, to consider the game as a way of interpreting literary works and on the other hand, to support the game based on the read.

The obtained results show that the implementation of the research plan contributed to the fact that the development indicators of the children’s game begin to approach the normative in the situation of the “zone of proximal development” and the further accumulation of play practice will contribute to the achievement of the normative indicators of the role-playing game in the “zone of the actual development of children”. It is also important that the reliance on the content and structure of the literary text allows the teacher to feel more confident in situations of play interaction with children, as an adult and a child interact in a single story context.

Contradictionary results of studies on the development of self-regulation in different activities in children are identified. The structure of self-regulation includes the ability to goal-setting, modeling conditions of activities, programming actions and self-control. The specificity of the manifestation of these abilities in different types of activity and features in preschool children is shown.

The method includes four problem situations. The first part is aimed at diagnosing the ability to self-regulate cognitive activity (metacognitive abilities). The second part is aimed at diagnosing the ability to self-regulate play activity (metaplay abilities).

Situations 1 and 3 suggest a hypothetical inclusion of the child in cognitive and play activities. The child must identify the goal and objectives, the conditions for the implementation of the activity and the program of action. Situations 2 and 4 are aimed at diagnosing self-control in cognitive and play activities. These situations imply a child’s assessment of «completing the assignment by other children».

Testing results indicate a relatively uniform distribution of the examined children according to the level of development of self-regulation abilities in different types of activities. Close and moderate correlation between the indicators of the abilities in cognitive and play activities was found. However, only 8% of the examined children showed a harmonious profile of metacognitive and meta-play abilities.

Self-regulation in preschool children has its own specifics in different types of activities. To diagnose metacognitive and metaplay abilities, it is necessary to use different diagnostic tasks. The results of testing the method indicate that it can be used in scientific research and for the diagnosis of mental development of preschool children.
