Relevance (context) of the subject of the article. The article presents the results of a study of the problem of social development of a preschooler as a subject of activity and behavior in a preschool educational organization. Ensuring effective social development of the child is an important aspect of modern preschool education. It involves teaching children social interaction, the formation of the initial foundations of social competence. For this, in the organizations of preschool education, it is necessary to create a developing space for the formation of the child’s social experience. However, the organization of the process of social development has not yet acquired a complete conceptual, methodological and technological basis. The possibility of preschool children manifesting subjectivity in the process of social development is largely limited, and the educational environment of preschool educational institutions does not sufficiently provide a developmental component.

The purpose of the study is to determine conceptual approaches to the social development of preschoolers and the readiness of preschool educators to implement it. The understanding of the characteristics of social development and the psychological and pedagogical conditions necessary for its implementation was analyzed by teachers.

Description of the research. The study involved 48 educators from 5 preschool educational organizations in Birsk, Republic of Bashkortostan. Educators were asked to answer questions that reflect their understanding of the characteristics of the child’s social development, its organization. In the course of the research, a specially developed questionnaire was used.

Research results. Issues in the understanding by teachers of preschool educational organizations of the peculiarities of organizing the process of social development of preschoolers were revealed. The formation of subjectivity presupposes the construction of internal culture, internal freedom and true sociality. The basis and driving force of the social development of the individual is joint activity, in which the individual assimilates social roles. The article reveals the initial provisions about the child as a subject of children’s activities and behavior in preschool age, methods of social development of preschoolers.

Conclusions. The study allows us to see the need for changes in the implementation of social development in preschool education. Important aspects of the transformations, based on the concept of the child’s development as a subject during preschool childhood, are updating the content of social development in preschool education, types of children’s activities, the development of new forms and methods of interaction between the teacher and children. Among the methods and technologies of social development, the leading should be active and interactive, in which the child acts as a subject. For this purpose, a heuristic, productive educational environment should be created in preschool educational organizations.

On the basis of the regulations on education in the United States, the organizational and pedagogical conditions for preschool children with cerebral palsy are shown. The author of the article considers individual educational plans that regulate the upbringing and education of children with special educational needs. The article presents a North American study that found a correlation between the mobility of children and their socialization. The results of this study and practical recommendations are presented: the overall social activity of a child in a group depends on his/her motor abilities and the development of interaction (as communication skills and interaction with other children). In conclusion, based on a comparative analysis, the similarity of the scientific positions in Russia and other countries regarding the content of preschool education for children with cerebral palsy is shown. This article focuses on tendencies of development of children of the preschool age connected with features of modern socialization. Today, the process of entering a child’s culture has a number of specific features. The boundaries between childhood and adulthood are blurred, the child’s position in relation to the adult world is changing, the adult ceases to be a unique bearer of culture, the effectiveness of traditional practices of upbringing and learning becomes ambiguous, and the intensity of the child’s communication with adults and with other children is reduced. One of the reasons for these changes is the rapid integration of digital technology into a child’s daily life. The Internet, computer, tablet, smartphone and other gadgets, which preschoolers often know better than their parents, become not only a toy, but also a means of socialization. The term “digital socialization” is used to define and describe the new facet of a child’s socialization. It is characterized by children’s use of high-tech arsenal of digital devices, the duration of the online status of a child, increasing risks associated with the online environment, an increase in the technical literacy of children compared to their parents, a decrease in the universality of the adult figure and his or her role in relations between parent and child, etc.

The article deals with issues related to the assessment of the quality of early childhood and preschool education. Testing of approaches shows the efficacy of the assessment of structure in union with the educational process and the educational outcome. According to the Federal State Educational Standard for Preschool Education the quality of educational process is correlated to the curriculum, methods and techniques of positive socialization, models for the organization of educational activity, the concept of social partnership and network interaction between institutions etc. The quality of education is a way of achieving the goals of the Federal State Educational Standard for Preschool Education: positive socialization, the individualization of education, support for children’s initiatives. The system of evaluation for preschool education quality is based on the pedagogical structure for the individualization of education - conditions of support and encouragement as well as the design of possibilities. The achievement of the targets as a result of the implementation of the Program is directly connected to the creation of a social situation for the development of the child. The solution to the problem of the quality of education is reflected in educational initiatives that focus on strengthening the position of professional development for teachers. The tools, indicators and criteria for the quality assessment must take into account the specifics of the early childhood and preschool periods.

The author explores the specific features of transmission and preservation of ethnic characteristics in Udmurt families living in multiethnic megalopolises. It has been noted that the Russian scientific community’s interest in the problem of human adaptation to a new ethno-cultural environment is associated primarily with intensified migration flows, and other types of movement (tourism, long-term study or work) within the country. Based on a survey conducted among Udmurt families living in two Russian regions: Moscow city and Izhevsk city, the capital of the Udmurt Republic, the author defines the specific features of the manifestation of the process in each of these cities. Special attention is paid to the study of the role the national language and folklore play in the life of modern Udmurt families who have moved to the megalopolises.

The article deals with the importance of preschool children’s literary development in an individual’s socialization at the present stage. Literary development is construed by the author to preschoolers’ mastery of all the riches of their native language to express the thoughts and feelings they attain by reading children’s literature, and mastery of communication culture, ability to come into contact with and engage in a dialogue with adults and their own peers and use speech etiquette. Children’s literature is a powerful educational tool, it should become a developing environment and provide education to preschool children, making it possible to diversify and create a complete educational environment of childhood both in a kindergarten and at home. The author offers a program which has been developed by kindergarten teachers in Mozhaisk. It aims at developing children’s interest in reading, their love for literature, exposing senior preschool children to Russian literary culture. India is characterised by immense plurality, whether it is in ecology, economy, religion, language, history, culture or cuisine. As a single nation which harbours so much diversity, working towards uniform principles becomes a serious challenge, whether in the attainment of national goals or the implementation of educational objectives. Regarding childhood, there is a constant dialogue between cultural practices on the one hand, and national objectives of children’s development on the other. Additional turbulence is caused by the distant images from affluent countries. Socialisation practices among contemporary Indian families continue to have enduring links with ancient traditions. Simultaneously, families are increasingly enthusiastic about children’s education; and keeping pace with modernity and technological advancement is an important priority. However, the global ideal of childhood as visualised by Euro-American norms, guided by quantitative homogenisation, has been an important obstacle for a reasonable understanding of Indian childhood and family life. This presentation focuses on the characteristic properties of family life and childhood in India that facilitate the co-existence of complex and even conflicting ways of bringing-up children. The analysis will be supported by examples from research with Indian families to describe the adaptive strategies that adults employ in the socialisation for competence of children towards a high tolerance of ambiguity and ambivalence.

Professional development is a continuous process. To achieve their goals teachers choose different universities and courses. Few teachers can identify their workplace as a base for continuous training. At the same time properly organized group activities and training of teachers in the workplace are the most effective way of training and professional development. However, non-obviousness of this fact in the implementation of new programs in pre-school educational institutions often generates strong resistance of workers. The main task of the administration and educational psychologists is to overcome it. This article addresses the problems arising in the implementation of innovative programs for socialization of preschoolers and describes the ways of overcoming them in order to improve the qualification of teachers in the workplace.
