The relevance of the topic of the article. It is in the family that the foundation of the child’s social experience is laid. In the process of interaction of a child with a close adult, stable features of constructive personal response are formed, characterological features are fixed. As a rule, the mother is recognized as the dominant influence on the child, on the development of emotional sphere. It is the mother who satisfies the child’s needs for the benevolent attention of an adult. The boundaries of our research do not allow us to identify all the factors contributing to the formation of a particular style of parental attitude to the child. However, many researchers, revealing the concept of parental attitude style, note the unconscious nature of behavioral manifestations and parental attitudes assigned by the mother in childhood imprinted. Therefore, we assumed that one of the factors in the formation of a particular style of parental attitude to the child is the quality of the mother’s reflection. The mother’s reflection, which has a protective character from negative experiences (fear of failure, shame, guilt, resentment), giving a locally temporary effect – pathogenic reflection. Reflection aimed at solving the problem in the relationship with the help of adequate means of the situation – sanogenic reflection.

The aim of the study. The article presents the results of an empirical study of the relationship between well-being in child-parent relationships and factors that negatively affect its development. Such factors are the styles of the child-parent relationship “Excessive requirements-prohibitions” and “Insufficient requirements-prohibitions” and the pathogenic reflection of the mother. On the example of these styles of parental attitude to the child, the mechanisms that prevent the formation of the emotional and psychological well-being of the child are shown.

Description of the research progress. An empirical study was conducted with mothers raising preschoolers. The study involved 236 people – mothers of preschoolers. Mostly respondents have higher education (67%), are married (51%), work (70%) and have more than one child (45%). The r-Spearman rank correlation coefficient and the Mann-Whitney U-test, a nonparametric statistical method of data processing for independent samples, were used for data processing.

The results of the study. The style of parental relationship is a formal dynamic characteristic, which is based on fixed, habitual forms of behavior for the mother and relationships in general, which may be non-constructive (pathogenic) in nature. It is concluded that the style of parental attitude to the child depends on the quality of reflection. Reflexive defenses, in turn, manifest themselves in behavioral forms of reaction and are fixed as an experience in the styles of parental attitude.

Conclusion. The more pronounced the indicators of the protective (pathogenic) reflection of the mother, the more the unconstructive style of parental attitude towards the child is presented, the less competent she is in educational activities. It is established that the style of parental attitude to the child depends on the quality of reflection. The pathogenic reflection of the mother is not aimed at solving problems arising in the child-parent relationship, but at her own experiences and states, which actualizes the need to protect against them. Reflexive defenses, in turn, manifest themselves in behavioral patterns and are fixed as an experience in parenting styles.

In this article, the authors focus on the problem of forming the emotional sphere of preschool children and their emotional well-being, in particular. Emotional well-being is considered as a component of psychological health in preschool age, since the success of his communication and interaction with others depends on the emotions that a child experiences and shows, and therefore the success of his social development. In addition, the article presents the results of an ascertaining experiment aimed at studying the level of forming emotional well-being in older preschool children. 178 preschool children took part in the experiment. Observational methods were used as the main methods for assessing the child’s emotional state and identifying the features of the formation of emotional well-being (observation «Studying the manifestation of a child’s emotional stability in a kindergarten group», the method of S.N. Gamova); testing (an adaptive method for conducting cross-sectional study of emotional well-being of the child in kindergarten by E.V. Kucherova); anxiety test by R. Tamml, M. Dorki, V. Amen; the method «Scale of social-situational anxiety» by A.M Prikhozhan); conversations with children (Dembo-Rubinstein’s «Ladder» method, modified By V. G. Shchur); parents ‘questionnaires (test-questionnaire of parental attitudes by L.Ya. Varga, V.V. Stolin); projective tests («My family» drawing test, A.M. Parishioners’ and Z. Vasilyauskaite’s «Draw yourself» method). The criteria and indicators of children’s emotional well-being are defined: the child’s emotionally positive state of health, emotional state of a child in a family environment, emotional stability, level of anxiety, level of self-esteem. In addition, the author’s definition of the concept of “emotional well-being” of preschool children is proposed. Qualitative and quantitative analysis of experimental data allowed us to identify three levels of emotional well-being of older preschool children. 55 preschool children (30.9%) showed a high level of emotional well-being; 64 preschool children (36%) showed an average level; 59 older preschool children (33.1%) showed a low level.

The article discusses the experience and results of the researches of emotional well-being of preschoolers, especially 6–7 year old children. The factors that affect the emotional well-being of preschool children in the family and in educational organizations and educational opportunities of the environment (values and ways of interaction of teachers with children, designing of the environment of a kindergarten, planning of current activities) are considered separately, in particular those increasing emotional well-being of children. The principal trends of the current approach to the study of emotional well-being: a synthesis of achievements of different theories, a shift in the study of emotional well-being from problems to its positive manifestations, interest in the opinion of children themselves, complexity (inclusion of all stakeholders in the study design – children, parents, teachers) and variety of methods. The relevance of the study, based on the «child’s voice», reflections by educators and parents, and structured video analysis, is shown.

The article discusses the results of the study of the emotional well-being of 6-7 years old children of kindergartens in Moscow. The data were obtained through a questionnaire survey of children and their parents using the supplemented Children’s Barometer methodology, consisting of 22 questions for a child and 8 questions for a parent. The study was attended by 151 parent-child couples; children from 15 groups of 5 different preschools. Emotional well-being is based on satisfying the needs of the child, both basic and essential for the age at hand, and essential for personal development including personal relevance, recognition in the group, autonomy and initiative. It was important for us to hear the “voice of the child”, attitude towards kindergarten, what makes child happy and discomforting. It was found that children of 6-7 years old can express their opinion and attitude to what is happening in kindergarten. Organized forms of activity are less interesting for children than free activity; there are discrepancies between children’s and adults’ assessment of issues important for the child; children remember conflicts in kindergarten and it is important for them how the teacher resolves the children’s conflict. The educational environment and style of interaction between adults and children in groups implementing different pedagogical systems influences children’s attitude towards kindergarten, which was shown in significant statistical differences.

This article argues for a turn in early years policy towards more serious attention to the emotional dimensions of nursery organisation and practice. The article describes three developing bodies of research on emotion in nursery, each taking a different theoretical perspective. The central argument of the article is that these three bodies of research converge in their findings on the importance of staff feeling cared about and understood in enabling staff to more effective in thinking about and responding to the individual children with whom they work. The article illustrates how emotion might be taken more seriously through reference to a number of developing practical initiatives arising from these bodies of work.

Background. Changing requirements to the level of professional competence of preschool teachers, related to the new priorities in the educational system, entail the necessity of qualitatively different provision of resources, the key role in which is played by the internal resources of the subject of activity.

Objectives. The aim is to identify peculiarities of interaction of cognitive and personal resources of teachers of the institutions with different level of quality of education.

Sample. 526 teaching teams (leader, senior teacher and two or three teachers) participated in the first stage, the second stage (study of cognitive and personal resources) was attended by 117 teachers.

Methods. The following methods were used in the study: the method of diagnosing the resourcefulness of professional thinking (I.V. Serafimovich, E.A. Medvedeva, N.V. Surina); the questionnaire of emotional intelligence EmIn by D.V. Lyusin (Lyusin, 2006); methods for studying subjective well-being (Osin, Leontiev, 2020, p. 136): the emotional aspect of well-being is the subjective happiness scale (Lyubomirsky, Lepper, 1999, adapted by E.N. Osin, D.A. Leontiev, short version (Osin, Leontiev, 2008), and the cognitive aspect is the life satisfaction scale (Diener et al., 1985; adapted and validated by D.A. Leontiev and E.N. Osin, (Osin, Leontiev, 2008).

Results. Positive interrelations of cognitive and personal resources have been established. Institutions with high quality are characterized with balanced uniformity, the institutions with medium quality are characterized with unbalanced focus. Differences in the personal resources’ components among teachers from various organizations were not identified, but there are some in the reflexive component of cognitive resources (teachers working in the organizations with high quality of education have higher level). It is shown that the organizations with medium quality have feeble circumstantiation and development of directions: correctional and developmental work with children with disabilities, ways to support children’s initiative and independence (age-appropriate), conditions for creating a developing subject-spatial environment (transformability, variability, multifunctionality); application of methods of modern planning of educational activities.

Conclusions. The use of research data is related to the possibilities of organizing continuous informal education of teachers of preschool educational organizations through the actualization of cognitive and personal resources, taking into account the deficiencies in the work of educational organizations in building immediate and distant development prospects.

Background. The value of the children’s game lies in its developing potential, which determines the need to support it by adults, especially parents. Research indicates that such support contributes to better developmental outcomes in children. Moreover, parents can retain a love for play throughout their lives. Adults inclined toward playfulness report higher life satisfaction and greater engagement in life. Parental playfulness fosters spontaneity and creativity in parent-child interactions. It can be hypothesized that positive childhood play experiences influence adults’ life satisfaction and their attitudes toward their children’s play.

Objective. Analysis of the relationship between life satisfaction and the attitude of their children to the game with memories of the game in childhood.

Sample. The study involved 282 participants (229 women, 53 men) aged 21 to 69.

Methods. The study employed the Satisfaction with Life Scale (SWLS) by Diener et al. (1985) in the Russian adaptation by D.A. Leontiev and E.N. Osin (Osin, Leontiev, 2008; 2020), along with an original questionnaire assessing memories of childhood play and attitudes toward children’s play.

Results. Overall life satisfaction scores showed no direct correlation with memories of childhood play. However, associations were found between specific SWLS subscales and play-related memories. Links were also identified between recollections of personal play experiences and attitudes toward children’s play.

Conclusions. Individuals with positive memories of supported play and playful interactions with adults in childhood reported higher life satisfaction and perceived themselves as more successful in key life domains. Positive childhood play experiences shape an understanding of play’s importance for children and influence parenting approaches. Adults with such experiences, as parents, are more likely to create conditions that foster similar play experiences for their own children.

Background. Social perceptions of the administrators of educational institutions about the psychological characteristics of the educational environment are a key factor influencing the effectiveness of the system of interaction in the team. The organizational and managerial component of the educational environment is of primary importance in the formation of a psychologically safe kindergarten educational environment that promotes the maintenance of the emotional well-being of all its subjects.

Objective. Theoretical and empirical substantiation of the development of a program of social and psychological support for kindergarten managers, as well as an assessment of its effectiveness.

Sample. The study involved 111 kindergarten managers from seven cities of Russia. 72 people participated in the formative experiment: directors, deputy directors and senior preschool teachers aged 35 to 70 years.

Methods. The study used survey and diagnostic (questionnaires, surveys) methods, observations, and a formative experiment. The content analysis of the associations of managers was carried out using the methodology of P. Verges (Vergès, 1992).

Results. The study shows that the administrator is a key link in ensuring psychological safety in an educational institution, which emphasizes the importance of identifying and adjusting social perceptions about creating safe learning conditions. These perceptions play a significant role in shaping the organizational and managerial component of the educational environment of a preschool educational institution. The study defines the structure of social perceptions of preschool educational institution directors before and after participating in the program of socio-psychological support. The content of these perceptions was also revealed and described, and then the changes that occurred as a result of the formative experiment were analyzed.

Conclusions. The program of social and psychological support, including five semantic blocks: diagnostic, informational, educational, formative, reflexive and analytical, is an effective tool for forming social perceptions of preschool educational institution heads about the principles of organizing a psychologically safe educational environment in a kindergarten.

Relevance. This article is devoted to the problem of comparative analysis of preschoolers’ drawings on the theme “My family”, brought up in a full or incomplete family. This topic is extremely relevant not only because of the increase in divorces in Russia and the related difficulties of raising and developing young children, but also from the point of view of the data collection method. Typically, surveys of parents and other caring adults are used in such studies, while the “voice of a child” remains unaccounted for. The purpose of this work is to explore the possibilities of using children’s drawings to diagnose the peculiarity of the social situation of development in a modern family and the emotional well–being of a child in the family.

Research methodology and progress. The projective technique “Family Drawing” as modified by the authors was used in the work. The study involved 44 children from 4 years 9 months to 7 years, average age 5 years 10 months; 18 boys and 26 girls (41% and 59%).

The result of the study made it possible to confirm the invariance of the significance of various parameters of the children’s drawing on the theme “My family” over the past 25 years. Three key bipolar factors were identified for evaluating children’s family drawings: “Structured relationships in the family – Adult dominance”, “Inclusion in the family structure – Detachment from the family” and “Loneliness – Positive emotional connection with the father”.

Conclusions. These factors make it possible to record the peculiarities of the emotional well-being of modern boys and girls raised in full and incomplete families. Firstly, the girls’ drawings clearly show positive emotional well-being, identification with the mother and orientation towards traditional gender-role relationships in the family, while the boys’ drawings are distinguished by the dominance of the parental position of adults and the child’s identification with the family as a special social group. Secondly, the emotional well-being of children from single-parent families is clearly worse than that of children from full families, and boys from single-parent families find themselves in the most difficult social situation of development.
