Reason of the conducted study. The article presents a generalized view of the problem of applying uniform requirements to the organization of education and upbringing of preschoolers with developmental disabilities. The authors draw attention to the wide differentiation of special educational needs within the category of “children of early and preschool age with disabilities”, associated with the psychophysical characteristics and the social situation of each child's development.

Methods. The article attempts to illustrate the specifics of the structural content of the federal adapted educational program for preschool education (FAOP DO) and the conditions for its implementation. The methodological foundations for the development of targeted adapted education and training programs, as well as targets reflecting the desired results of the personal development of different nosological groups of children, are considered.

Research progress. The authors analyze typical professional difficulties and requests of specialists involved in the development of training and upbringing programs for children with disabilities based on many years of research, including on the topic “Clinical, psychological and pedagogical research of a modern child with disabilities and disabilities”. More than 800 specialists from 51 subjects of the Russian Federation took part in this study.

Results. Various methodological approaches to the development of Federal Adapted Educational Program are systematized. The dynamics of mastering the list of possible results, which is determined by the quality and consistency in the organization of special educational conditions, is discussed.

Conclusions. As recommendations, it is proposed to pay attention to the content and forms of implementation of additional professional educational programs of pedagogical and non-pedagogical workers of a single multidisciplinary team. For the first time, the analysis of the variable structure of the Federal Adapted Educational Program was carried out on the basis of the general principles of including different nosological groups of preschool children in the educational environment.

The relevance of the subject of the article. The article is devoted to the communication of children with speech disorders in an inclusive kindergarten. Staying in the environment of healthy children has a positive effect on socialization and the formation of communication skills in preschoolers with disabilities. But meanwhile, there may be a contradiction between the social conditions of preschool inclusion and the real opportunities for communication in some children. These contradictions affect children with speech disorders. These children, due to speech pathology, are not capable of full communication. Therefore, the problem of communication and socialization in preschoolers with speech disorders should be solved.

Description of the research progress. Studies on age periodization, according to which communication develops between preschoolers who do not have speech pathologies, are analyzed. The author of the article refers to the brain organization of speech and shows its systemic nature from the point of view of the participation of different brain areas. As a theoretical basis, two classifications of speech disorders are given in the article, with the help of which speech pathologies in childhood are studied; in the future, in accordance with this classification, according to the form of speech pathology, work is carried out to eliminate speech defects. The article has an interdisciplinary character and integrates psychology, pedagogy and speech therapy.

Research results. The work on speech correction begins with the diagnostic stage. Diagnostic examination, which establishes the state of active and passive speech in a child, is based on the position on the systemic structure of speech functions. The article shows that speech has a systemic structure – from elementary to the most complex forms. Speech therapy classes have different aims and structure, depending on the correctional focus on a particular speech defect. In addition to speech therapy classes, recommendations are given on the development of etiquette speech and on the formation of communication skills within the framework of a role-playing game and theatricalization.

Conclusion. Working in a kindergarten to restore speech reduces the “risk zone” for socialization. With sufficient communication, children acquire the possibility of full inclusion in the peer environment.

Relevance. The article is devoted to the search for opportunities that are provided to a child in modern childhood. Modern childhood, on the one hand, provides children with extraordinary opportunities for development, such as the use of digital devices to implement various ideas, mastering various aspects of culture not only from books, but also through direct acquaintance with the original cultural samples in various museums in different countries. But on the other hand, the wide opportunities associated with travel and acquaintance with modern achievements of science and technology simultaneously generate situations of uncertainty in which children find themselves: for example, such as a pandemic. Society faces the task of realizing the changes that humanity is facing. Flights into space, robotization processes, the emergence of artificial intelligence, etc. poses a new problem of learning. Children and adults are increasingly in a situation of uncertainty.

The aim of the study. To show the possibilities of developmental therapy from the perspective of developmental psychology and psychotherapy on different groups of children.

Description of the research progress. The study was conducted on a group of children who survived the terrorist attack in preschool and primary school age (Beslan, 2004 – 40 children) and children who found themselves in a situation of emotional distress and stress during the pandemic (2020–2021 – 20 children). Group and individual classes were held in offline and online format.

Results. There is a very special task of restoring the normal course of mental development of those children who have experienced unusual situations associated with existential experiences. The possibilities of meeting with negative situations gives rise to fear of the future, which slows down children’s development and limits the horizon of the formation of the personality of a modern person. Studies show that methods aimed at the development of children in certain conditions can achieve a stable psychotherapeutic effect and emotional harmonization, and can be used to work, including with fears. It was shown that such tools as visual models and the author’s symbol can be used for development and psychotherapy, which is developmental therapy in conditions of unpredictable future and uncertainty.

Conclusion. Adaptation to the challenges of the time is becoming one of the important tasks of supporting the development of a modern child. One of the forms of such support is developmental psychotherapy, the theoretical foundations of which are set out in the proposed article.

Relevance (context) of the article. The analysis of the sources shows the effect of the P. Ya. Galperin’s theory of step-by-step development of intellectual activity. Relevance of the study is evident both at the level of fundamental general psychological mechanisms of intellectual processes, and at the level of educational technology development. P. Ya. Galperin’s theory has found its usage in developing methods for correctional and educational work in teaching children with disabilities.

The purpose of this paper is to show relevance of P. Ya. Galperin’s theory implementation, when developing methods in correctional education to form intellectual activity in preschoolers with intellectual disabilities.

Description of the research. The thesis reveals gradual development of intellectual activity in preschoolers with intellectual disabilities. There is an author’s method of forming intellectual activity in preschool children with intellectual disabilities. This method is presented on the example of actions of assigning the subject to the standard of form and direct quantitative counting. It is used in preparing children for school. This study is implemented in the educational field Intellectual Development. It is possible to use this method in the future to ensure preschool education of children with intellectual disabilities.

Findings. The research studied formation of a perceptive ability to match a particular object’s properties with the set standards of form and the ability to make direct quantitative calculations when using the method based on P. Ya. Galperin’s theory. The study revealed that, though the tasks at each stage of learning were getting more and more complicated, the intellectual activity acquirement was progressing. This is shown through preschoolers with intellectual impairments being more independent from an adult’s help and being able to shift to a more ‘reduced’ action according to P. Ya. Galperin. The distinguished gradual development of intellectual activity (first shifting from conceiving the task to acquiring the intellectual action in the tangible and physical way, second shifting to handling the observed objects without motor actions involved, finally shifting to prospective planning of the action) has proven to be effective when assisting a child in forming various intellectual actions, such as objective figure modeling, objects size-ranking, comparison, qualitative division, etc.

Conclusion. The method of forming intellectual skills in preschoolers with intellectual disabilities, built on the principle of gradual development of intellectual activity can be widely used in correctional, developmental and educational work. This study is possible to go beyond the actual intellectual development and be used in other educational areas of preschool education of this group of children.

The article is of a theoretical pattern and summarizes the scientific statements and research of recent studies. The theoretical provisions and the program document, which substantiate the content and guide of the development of special preschool education are presented.

The relevance of the article consists in the analysis of modern preschool education for children with cerebral palsy. The article describes the mental and physical characteristics of children with cerebral palsy of preschool age, which indicate special educational needs and the need for special correctional and developmental work. The provisions on the psychodiagnostics of children with cerebral palsy are given; the principles for drawing up an individual educational route are shown. On the basis of materials of Russian studies and recommendations, the variants of educational programs that are prescribed for children with disorders of the musculoskeletal system of various severity are presented. The article also contains material on the international experience for organization of preschool education for children with cerebral palsy. Using the example of Polish preschool education, an approach is shown that includes general and special technologies and directions for teaching children. On the basis of the regulations on education in the United States, the organizational and pedagogical conditions for preschool children with cerebral palsy are shown. The author of the article considers individual educational plans that regulate the upbringing and education of children with special educational needs. The article presents a North American study that found a correlation between the mobility of children and their socialization. The results of this study and practical recommendations are presented: the overall social activity of a child in a group depends on his/her motor abilities and the development of interaction (as communication skills and interaction with other children). In conclusion, based on a comparative analysis, the similarity of the scientific positions in Russia and other countries regarding the content of preschool education for children with cerebral palsy is shown. The role of preschool institutions in the development and socialization of children with cerebral palsy has been substantiated.

One of the most important psychological acquisitions in preschoolers is a good sense of self (a set of ideas about oneself as a physical and psychological subject) and the ability to present themselves to those around them. “A sense of self” as well as strategies and verbal and nonverbal ways of self-introduction takes shape as self-representation in the broad sense of the word. The aim of this research is to explore the self-presentations of preschoolers. The research was conducted in а special preschool for children with speech disorders. During the empiric and experimental parts of our research, we examined the peculiarities of self-presentation in preschoolers with speech disorders. This was accomplished by diagnosing the verbal and nonverbal (drawings) self-presentation of the children to other people. The essential sources of the problems in children’s self-presentation in our sample were caused by a weak level of mediation in using speech to express the psychosocial sense-bearing aspects of their personalities. Due to their undeveloped speech mediation, the vocabulary used by the preschoolers does not carry the message necessary for the children to effectively present themselves to others. According to the results of the psychological diagnostics, we developed and implemented a program for psychological corrections for children 5-6 years old with speech disorders. The program aims to develop their knowledge about themselves, their speech, and their communication and cognitive skills in situations of self-presentation.

In this article the problem of diagnosis of autism is raised. Diagnoses of autism are often mistakenly set for children with developmental delays, suffering from systemic disorders of speech and secondary autistic behavioral manifestations arising from the early damage of the central nervous system. Examples of the application of techniques of neuropsychological correction of a child with autism spectrum disorders are provided. Neuropsychological data provided led to the conclusion that the diagnosis of autism needed to be clarified. After a course of rehabilitative training a positive trend in mental functioning of a child was discovered. After the second diagnostics it was concluded that the child had secondary autistic traits associated with the delayed language development and general executive functions, which needed to be corrected through the development of mental functions. The article highlights the importance and possibilities of neuropsychology in the differential diagnosis of mental functioning in children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders.

The study of the relationship between high level of anxiety and the degree of formation of higher mental functions in primary school children is presented. The high demands of parents to the child without regard to his individual characteristics lead to high levels of anxiety, lack of motivation to learn, underachievement. It was found that children without cognitive impairment often have a high level of anxiety and their neuropsychological status was characterized as low level of units of higher mental functions. Practical experience proves the effectiveness of a systematic approach to correcting the identified deficiency of symptoms in mental functioning, as well as the alignment of the emotional background.

The paper analyzes the difficulties in learning mathematics in preschool children. Key components of mathematical thinking are outlined. The difficulties in learning mathematics are analyzed on the concrete examples. It is shown that the spatial analysis and synthesis of thought is of paramount importance for successful mastery of mathematics. Difficulties in learning arithmetic operations in children are connected with spatial immaturity. Another essential component of mathematical operations is a well-developed thinking and arbitrary visual perception, which form the concept of geometric shapes. The programs of neuropsychological correction, which include a motor and cognitive correction are discussed.

Background. Communicative and speech development of a child with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) is one of the primary tasks in working with non-speaking children, since their subsequent development, behavior, and well-being in society depend on their communication capabilities.

Objective. Formation of basic communication skills in non-speaking children by teaching reading using the global text perception method and subsequent mastering of printing on tablets or computers used as alternative and additional means of communication (AAC).

Sample. The study involved 3 non-verbal children with autism aged 5 years: 2 girls and 1 boy.

Methods. The following methods were used: the method “Global Reading” by G. Doman, methodological developments by L.G. Nuriyeva “Speech Development of Autistic Children”, PECS alternative communication system. The work was based on the principle of “from simple to complex”. To determine the level of development of children and to build a further plan for correctional work, speech therapy diagnostics were carried out using the first component of the VB-MAPP methodology “Assessment of Developmental Areas “ (listener behavior, request skill (mand), verbal speech, visual perception, echo skill). At each stage of training, an intermediate assessment of skills was carried out using pedagogical supervision and parent surveys.

Results. The children demonstrated positive dynamics in the formation of the ability to read whole words at once, bypassing the stage of syllabic analysis. Two of the three subjects showed the first signs of active sound speech in the form of repetitions of heard words (echolalia). One child began to spontaneously vocalize individual syllables, writing words by hand. In addition to improving reading skills, the project participants began to effectively apply the ability to type on electronic devices to solve everyday communication problems and express their own desires.

Conclusions. The method of sequential teaching of global reading, typing and dialogue skills has been shown to be an effective way to develop communication skills and intellectual abilities in children with ASD. It is assumed that a non-verbal child with autism will be able to fully express their thoughts using typing as an AAC.

Relevance. The ability to visually model is a universal ability that is formed in preschool age. Children’s mastery of this ability is an important indicator of the child’s mental development and intellectual readiness for school. The quest game is the least studied method of developing the ability to visually model in children.

The aim of the study is to explore the possibilities of using the quest game as a means of working on the formation the ability to visual modeling in preschool children.

The methodology. The study included three stages: ascertaining, forming and control. To diagnose the ability to visual modeling in children, L.A. Venger’s “Schematization” technique was used. The methodology for developing children’s ability for visual modeling through quest games was based on the following conditions: 1) developing the ability for visual modeling should be carried out in stages: from teaching children to use ready-made visual models to learning to create them; 2) each quest game must include tasks that involve the use of different types of models (spatial, temporal, mathematical, logical) in a single plot. The study involved 41 children aged 5-6 years.

Research results. The analysis of the results of the ascertaining stage showed that 43% of children aged 5-6 years who participated in the study had a low ability to visual modeling. The results of the control experiment indicate the effectiveness of the work carried out: indicators of the ability to visually model the children participating in quest games increased; the number of children who showed a low level decreased by 15%.The positive dynamics are due to the following circumstances: 1) The quest game is a fun form of organizing correctional and developmental activities for preschool children; 2) The form of the quest game allows you to include tasks for both the usage and the creation of visual models by children; 3) The quest game makes it possible to use different types of models: spatial, temporal, mathematical, logical, regardless of its plot.

Conclusions. The data obtained confirm our assumption that the quest game can be considered as a means of forming the ability to visual modeling in older preschool children.
