The relevance of the subject of the article. There is no single approach to the concept of creativity, and no clear understanding and criteria how to distinguish creative activity from non-creative one. The relevance of the problem lies in identifying and resolving the contradictions of numerous approaches and theories that interpret the phenomenon of creativity, including children’s. This will allow teachers to consciously and purposefully develop creativity in children’s activities.

Description of the research progress. The research is focused on the studies of pedagogy and psychology. The article systematizes the scientific concepts of creativity, gives an overview of modern models of children’s creativity, analyses domestic and Western theories and the philosophical foundations of the phenomenon. Features of creativity in preschool age are identified, the prerequisites and conditions for its development are carried out.

Research results. As a result of the study, approaches and theories to the phenomenon of creativity, including children’s creativity, were systematized. The features of creativity in senior preschool age are revealed, the methodological foundations for studying children’s creativity are determined.

Conclusion. Researchers consider creativity as a product, process (activity), personality characteristic and as a social phenomenon, which is based on innate abilities and social environment. If it is impossible to change the culture the child grows in and innate abilities, we can influence the social environment and build a creative experience for the child, constructing special conditions for its support and development

The relevance of the topic of the article. The problem of adaptation of younger preschoolers to the conditions of preschool education is one of the most urgent in connection with the importance of finding effective means to optimize the reduction of the period of habituation of young children to a new social situation.

The aim of the study is to describe an experimental study and the results of optimizing the adaptation of children of the 3rd and 4th years of life to the conditions of preschool education when using game exercises with elements of nonverbal communication.

Description of the research progress. According to the hypothesis, game exercises with elements of nonverbal communication contribute to the optimization and reduction of the period of adaptation of younger preschoolers to the conditions of preschool education. The empirical study involved 40 children of the 3rd and 4th years of life, divided into two groups: experimental (EG) and control (KG). The study was conducted in three stages: ascertaining diagnostics, developmental classes and control. During the assessment and control, modified observation maps were used to diagnose the peculiarities of the emotional state of children, including indicators of nonverbal behavior and communication of children. In developing classes with EG children, game exercises with elements of nonverbal communication were used, forming an address to a partner (peer, adult). 12 classes were held (15-20 min.) 3 times a week for a month. The results of both groups were compared with each other. Methods of mathematical statistics were used in the processing of quantitative data of psychological and pedagogical experiment.

The results of the study. Classes in the EG allowed to reduce the period of adaptation of children of the 3rd and 4th years of life to one month with the expected effect: the emotional background of the EG children became steadily positive, the level of play activity and interaction with peers increased.

Conclusion. The results confirmed the hypothesis and allowed us to clarify information about the differences in the development of children of the 3rd and 4th years of life due to the effects of experimental classes (in EG) and without it (in KG).

The relevance of the subject of the article. Sociocultural processes taking place in the Arctic region cause a change in the role of the Arctic peoples in the modern world and attitude towards them, contribute to the understanding and acceptance of new upbringing processes and phenomena in the upbringing of the peoples of the North. At the same time, the traditional experience of generations is important for the effective upbringing of children and schoolchildren, the development of their personality. One of the modern mechanisms for the development of the personality of a child and an adult, their positive intergenerational relations is the educational space. The article presents the results of a practice-oriented study aimed at identifying traditional practices of educating Northerners and characterizing the prospects for their use for the development of subjects of the educational space of the nomadic Arctic region.

The aim of the study is to identify traditional practices of educating Northerners and to determine the prospects of their use for the development of the nomadic educational space of the Arctic region.

Research progress. Studies on the problem of updating and using socio-cultural resources by a preschool educational organization to create an upbringing space in a sparsely populated Arctic nomadic territory were analyzed: original samples of knowledge and attitudes, language and culture, patterns of behavior and relationships, original Arctic upbringing practices. From 2018 to 2021 monitoring of traditional upbringing practices was carried out. The identified practices were used by teachers working on a rotational basis in the nomadic territories of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) of the following educational organizations: the Ailik preschool organization of the Tomponsky ulus; Even nomadic school-preschool organization “Nerget” of the Kobyai district (Sebyan-Kel); elementary school-preschool organization of the nomadic community of the established tribal community “Nutendli” of the Nizhnekolymsky district; school-preschool organization “Kuonel-eken” Oleneksky district.

Research methods and logic: analysis of pedagogical literature, systematization of the experience of preschool organizations in Yakutia, included observation of the life of the nomad camp, questionnaires, and surveys of residents of the nomad camp, experimental work on the implementation of the results obtained in pedagogical practice, expert evaluation of the results of the use of upbringing practices.

Research results. The definition of the concepts of “upbringing space of a nomadic territory”, “event-driven practices of educating northern preschool children” is given. An analysis was made of the potential of upbringing practices using the native language, folk music, songs, folklore; annual calendar; economic traditions of nomadic peoples. Criteria and indicators for evaluating educational activities in stationary settlement organizations and in nomadic conditions are determined. Surveys of pedagogical workers were conducted to assess the effectiveness of educational activities. Positive results were noted in nomadic educational structures: up to 30% of indicators in village preschool educational organizations are inferior to those in nomadic structures. The results are confirmed by the methods of mathematical statistics.

Conclusions. The revival of the original traditional practices of education that determine the self-consciousness of the northern peoples, their life image, the perception of the world space, thoughts, feelings and their dynamics, their use in the developing upbringing space of the region can today radically change the situation with the search for the meaning of the life and upbringing path of the child northerner. Intergenerational transmission from an adult to a child of the characteristics and established experience of nomadism is accompanied by the formation of a set of views that characterize the features of the development of a particular national-ethnic group. It becomes the basis for the development of the upbringing space of the nomadic territory as a mechanism for the development of the individual: the independence of the child, the subjectivity of the adult, etc.

The relevance of the study. Pedagogical skill competitions are an effective means of improving the professionalism of educators, attracting public attention to the teaching profession. In the context of changing requirements and the order of the regional stage, the trend towards increasing the spectacularity of competitive events, its developmental significance may be lost.

The purpose of the study: to study the features of the regional professional competition “Teacher of the Year” as an indicator of the state of preschool education in the Ivanovo region.

Methodology: analysis of the tender documentation, individual standardized interview.

Research progress: the provisions of the Ivanovo region for the competition in the nomination “Teacher of Preschool Education” for the last 6 years have been studied. 71 works of participants of the regional competition “Teacher of the Year” in the nomination “Teacher of Preschool Education” for 2017–2023 were analyzed. The analysis of the personnel composition of the participants, their teaching experience, materials and topics of pedagogical experience was carried out. Interviews were conducted with educators who were present at the competitive events as spectators.

Research results: there is a general trend to simplify participation in the competition by reducing the number of face-to-face events and documentation of the correspondence stage. A reduction in the number of participants with an increase in their average teaching experience was revealed. A low competitive activity of specialists (music directors, arts teachers, physical education instructors) has been established. An analysis of the topics and materials of the contestants showed that the activities of a modern educator in the Ivanovo region is dominated by interest in the creation of manuals, the most popular is the cognitive and socio-communicative development of the child.

Conclusions. According to the results of the study, the following features were noted: the desire of teachers to receive official recognition of the significance of their work; passion for the profession as a creative and useful hobby; interest in modern pedagogical areas in work with preschoolers and the desire to introduce innovations without their critical evaluation. Simplification of the process of participation in the competition may indicate a decrease in the quality of professional training of teachers. Among the features that characterize the preschool education system of the region, we highlight the workload of educators and their lack of confidence in their professionalism, the lack and weak activity of physical education instructors, arts teachers, music directors.

The study showed teachers’ distrust of professional competitions, the lack of attractiveness of the competitive movement associated with the lack of worthy prizes and public recognition.

The relevance of the article. The problem of ‘Paying It Forward’, or the notion that people, children and young persons, carry out acts of kindness to strangers without expecting a return or ‘being paid’ back, is so important that, without exaggeration, the future of mankind depends on it. The term “Paying it Forward“ is tentatively described as ‘the process of somebody doing something good for another without having the intention to have the favour returned or being “paid back”, but instead with the expectation that the recipients pass it on to another person’. The author tries to find answers to the question: why is it that many people who live now feel attached to, worry about, and may even consider themselves responsible for the lives of those who will come to this world several generations later?

Description of the research progress. The article attempts to investigate the phenomenon of ‘living in the now’ and how this affects this ‘paying it forward’, as it can be assumed that their concern about the wellbeing of those who may live in the future may be affected by a limited feeling of being connected with times to come and are more concerned about responding to their needs in the hic et nunc. The trend that pushes children towards living more and more in the present is fueled by numerous processes, the most significant of which is the reduction in the amount of time children devote to leisure and hobbies and the expectation of almost immediate satisfaction of their needs. The author examines the gap between the past, present and future and how this affects the attitude of young men and women to improve the lives of future generations.

Conclusions. The urge to feel connected to or la sense of longing for what went before serves many purposes; it provides identity, pride, certainty, meaning and even repose, recuperation, and healing. It is also for these reasons that rescuing cultural heritage a high priority after conflicts or natural disasters. This raises the question: how well prepared are the younger generation to participate in activities that will benefit those who come after them?
