Abstract
Children diagnosed with ADHD during early childhood are viewed as problematic across raters and settings. Appropriately credentialed professionals in the U.S. have different views of what constitutes a comprehensive evaluation, but similar methods are conducted. Medication has been found to help alleviate negative symptoms, but the long-term use of stimulant drugs can affect development.
