The relevance of research. The changes taking place in society and culture affect the transformation of such a socio-cultural phenomenon as childhood. Obtaining current knowledge about childhood makes it possible to predict the features of the future society, the adult population of which will consist of modern children. Obtaining data on the similarities and differences of ideas about childhood in children and adults can allow us to build effective educational work with parents. This will help adults better understand children, change the educational and the pedagogical process in accordance with the needs, values, and problems of modern preschoolers. The article presents the results of a study of the peculiarities of ideas about childhood as a phenomenon in older preschool children and parents of older preschoolers and designing on this basis of an educational program for parents.

Organization of the study. The aim of the study was to develop methods and conduct a comparative analysis of children’s and parents’ ideas about childhood and to develop a program of educational activities taking into account the identified features. Diagnostic research tools included modifications of "soft" methods (S.N. Mayorova-Shcheglova): the sociographic method (drawing on a given topic "Children and their childhood", analysis of the depicted event) the collision method (analysis of the verbally presented situation) and the comic book method (inventing the child's replicas of the hero in the presented situations). In addition, an auxiliary method was used – a conversation – for the interpretation of children's drawings and a modified projective technique "Ladder".

Research results. As a result of the study, comparative data were obtained on the specifics of ideas of different generations about the phenomenon of childhood, the peculiarities of the understanding of childhood by modern children and modern parents were identified, on this basis a program of educational activities for parents was developed and tested. The program of educational activities: is focused on the development of parental competence as an integrative ability to solve the problems of development and upbringing of children, which involves the implementation of comprehensive educational work, including stimulating motivation, position formation, enrichment of ideas and the formation of practical skills; involves the organization of a system of individual support of parents, a variety of forms of work, the development of parental reflection, stimulating independence and awareness through keeping a personal diary; practice-oriented, illustrated with a large number of examples and cases from real practice; involves updating the existing experience of parents, helps everyone see points of their own growth.

Conclusions. The program of educational activities was designed on the basis of the data obtained on the specific ideas about the phenomenon of childhood of older preschoolers and parents and is focused on the problems of raising a child in a family that are relevant for modern parents and children.

The relevance of the article’s subject is due to the need to develop bilingual children’s thinking in their second language – Russian. Reasoning is one of the forms (units) of thinking. We assumed that if, during the acquaintance of children with the works of children’s literature, an analysis of the structure of reasoning is carried out – to determine the main idea (thesis), the type of connection of arguments (sequential, parallel, mixed), to find (and formulate) a conclusion, to distinguish between full and abbreviated reasoning, to use special (lexical) means of connecting parts of reasoning – then the efficiency of reproducing the text heard and discussed, the quality of constructing one’s own reasoning will increase significantly.

The purpose of the article is to show the results of a study on the implementation of the methodology of working on reasoning in the process of familiarizing older preschoolers with works of children’s literature. Reasoning is understood as a unit of thinking, as a compositional form of speech, a functional type of speech that is more characteristic of the scientific style of speech, but is also present in fiction in the form of an author’s view, an author’s assessment and an author’s interpretation of facts.

The course of the study. The pedagogical experiment was conducted on the basis of preschool institutions of the Republic of Tatarstan, in which children learn two languages – Russian and Tatar. At the same time, Tatar is their native language. The experiment took place in 2020-2022. The data obtained were compared with control groups in which no work on reasoning was carried out. The total number of subjects was 476 children of senior preschool age (236 in experimental groups, 240 in control groups). Russian Russian literature In a pedagogical experiment, we tried to focus children’s attention on the structural features of reasoning in works of Russian fiction, to use the identified features in the construction of children’s own statements-reasoning in Russian.

The results of the study turned out to be significant: there are practically no changes in the number of correctly constructed arguments in the control groups, in the experimental groups there is a significant increase (on average by 30%). This proved the positive effect of working on the structure of reasoning.

Conclusion. The results of the study convince that the work on the development of bilingual children’s abilities to reason in Russian should be connected with the definition of the main idea of the work of art, with the identification of arguments proving the main idea of the author, with the formulation of the conclusion that the author wanted to convey to the reader. In this regard, it is recommended to: teach children to find and build a complete reasoning (thesis, proof, conclusion) that explains the ideological content of a fairy tale or story; identify brief (or abbreviated) arguments in literary texts, explain which parts of it and why they are abbreviated; find consistent, parallel and mixed connection of arguments in the arguments and independently build in their statements; use special reference words to connect the thesis with arguments, arguments with the conclusion; offer children tasks, exercises aimed at constructing their own reasoning on various topics.

Background. The emotional development of preschoolers plays a key role in their mental health and subsequent social adaptation. Despite extensive research on emotional development and social interaction in preschoolers, the targeted study of emotion expression rules and the development of methods for their effective implementation in the educational process remain understudied.

Objective. To identify pedagogical conditions for forming a conscious attitude toward emotion expression rules in older preschool children.

Sample. The study involved 77 older preschool children (M = 73.77 months, SD = 5.6) from two kindergartens in St. Petersburg.

Methods. Emotion comprehension test (Veraksa et al., 2021), conversation about children’s understanding of emotion expression rules, and observation of children’s emotional reactions followed by a conversation (Diaz et al., 2015).

Results. Comparison of the research results before and after the formative experiment, according to the specified methods, showed sufficient effectiveness of the proposed pedagogical influences. Over 60% of participants demonstrated a high level of understanding and application of emotion expression rules after completing the program. An intermediate level was recorded in more than 35% of children. A low level of understanding of the rules for expressing emotions and their use was not recorded after the classes, while before the classes it was about 40%. Control group results confirmed changes associated with preschoolers’ participation in the program.

Conclusions. Thus, to develop a conscious attitude toward emotion expression rules in older preschoolers, it is necessary to: cultivate feelings related to respectful treatment of emotions; develop conceptions about emotions and the ability to identify causes of one’s own emotions; enhance awareness of emotion expression methods as means of communicating emotions to others.

Background. Modern society places high demands on the level of language training of children, starting from an early age, which makes it relevant to search for effective methods of speech development and children’s awareness of the phenomena of language and speech. The problem of speech development in the process of speech education at the stage of preschool childhood involves a new consideration of the issues of children’s respect for their native language, which is due to the importance of mastering its national specifics, familiarization with the language as a national treasure. In addition, the development of semantics in speech contributes to the general intellectual development of children, laying the foundation for the subsequent development of more complex language structures and concepts.

Objective. To determine the optimal ways of forming the semantic aspect of speech development in the process of speech education of children in their seventh year of life.

Sample. The study involved 54 children aged 6–7 years (preparatory group for school), attending the preschool department of school No. 1517 in Moscow. The children were divided into two groups: experimental (1EG, 28 children) and control group (2EG, 24 children).

Methods. The diagnostics developed by O.S. Ushakova and V.I. Yashina (Ushakova, Yashina, 2023) were used to assess the level of proficiency in different aspects of speech. The associative experiment was conducted using the methodology developed by researchers at the Speech Development Laboratory of the Research Institute of Preschool Education (Ushakova, Strunina, 2004). The level of logical thinking development was revealed according to the methodology developed by psychologists at the Research Institute of Preschool Education of the Russian Academy of Education under the guidance of L.A. Venger (Diagnostics.., 1978). The level of speech development of older preschoolers was determined by the method of E.A. Smirnova (Smirnova, 1987).

Results. It has been experimentally proven that understanding the meaning of a word is a key moment in speech ontogenesis. To master the meaning of a word means to master the method of reflecting the essential features of an object (phenomenon) for a given society, fixed in the language. The study also shows that if the semantic aspect becomes the center of constructing a coherent statement (description, narration, reasoning), which develops in conjunction with solving all speech tasks in the curriculum, older preschoolers master the ability not only to correctly compose a coherent story, but also to competently construct any utterance. Russian language holidays play a special role in the development of linguistic and communicative abilities of older preschoolers (namely, this role is played by the semantic aspect of children’s speech development), which combine all speech problems and cultivate love and respect for the native language from early childhood.

Conclusions. The use of semantic content in the classroom has an impact on the speech and cognitive development of older preschool children. Without special training in the speech of children, even of the older preschool age, there is an inadequate use of semantic units in speech situations or in the construction of texts of any purpose under the influence of extralinguistic (non-linguistic) factors.

Background. The intellectual development of older preschool children is of significant importance at the stage of preparation for school. The formation of intellectual readiness is one of the indicators of the child’s adaptive inclusion in the educational process in primary education programs. The analysis of scientific research has revealed the content and structural components of the concepts of “intellectual development” and “intellectual readiness of an older preschooler”. This contributed to the definition of the main criteria for the study of intellectual readiness and the development of appropriate gaming diagnostic tasks for older preschoolers.

Objective. To study the dynamics of the formation of intellectual readiness of older preschoolers in the process of stage-by-stage implementation of the intellectual project “Ready for School!”

Methods. The study involved 30 children of the preparatory school group. At the first stage, the diagnosis of preschoolers was carried out at the beginning of the school year according to the developed set of game tasks. At the second stage, an action plan was implemented with exercises aimed at the intellectual development of older preschoolers. At the final stage, a final study and analysis of the results were carried out.

Results. The analysis of the research results showed an increase in the cognitive and communicative activity of children in solving logical memorization tasks, mathematical riddles, and problems. The effectiveness of the work carried out with children on the formation of constructive and algorithmic thinking and mastery of mathematical concepts was revealed. The highest results were obtained by diagnostic indicators based on criteria for evaluating the formation of a common outlook, ideas and ways of interacting with adults and peers in various types of activities.

Conclusions. To effectively implement the tasks of developing the intellectual readiness of older preschoolers at the stage of preparation for school, the teacher needs to use systematic work technologies that promote the activation of children’s creativity and cognition: problematic mathematical tasks, multi-level and group tasks, design, elementary programming, additional exercises for neurobiology, logical memorization , associative thinking, development of interhemispheric interaction, as well as visual-motor coordination.
