The VIII All-Russian Congress of Preschool Education Workers opened with a plenary session, where the Minister of Education of the Russian Federation Sergey Kravtsov made a report. He focused on the need to strengthen the role of preschool education in the process of raising and developing children, since this period is a key stage in the formation of the child's personality and worldview.
"A lot in the formation of personality and worldview is laid down at the age of up to six or seven years. Therefore, the future of the younger generation largely depends on how well the preschool education system, together with parents, organizes the upbringing of children and creates conditions for their harmonious development. Today, it is necessary to increase the importance of this area," the minister emphasized.
A special place in Sergey Kravtsov's speech was occupied by the topic of preserving a single educational space in kindergartens. This involves the use of federal educational programs, the introduction of common approaches to the development and upbringing of children, the active involvement of parents in the learning process, as well as high-quality training of teaching staff.
The minister noted significant successes in ensuring the availability of preschool education for children of all ages. Thanks to the implementation of the national project "Demography", over 1,600 new kindergartens have been created in the country, which has made it possible to achieve the indicator of availability of preschool education at the level of 99.77%.
By 2030, it is planned to build another 100 kindergartens. From 2025, it is planned to expand the capital repair program to kindergartens.
Sergey Kravtsov announced the development of the Strategy for the Development of Education until 2036 with a perspective until 2040. One of the important aspects of the strategy will be work on issues of the preschool education system. The corresponding working group is headed by the director of the Institute for the Development, Health and Adaptation of the Child Elena Pristupa. The Minister invited the participants of the congress to take part in the discussion and offer their ideas for improving this area.
Rector of the Moscow State Pedagogical University Alexey Lubkov also addressed the participants of the congress, emphasizing the importance of returning to the traditional approach of understanding childhood as a unique stage in a person's life.
"The main provisions of the report of the Minister of Education of the Russian Federation mark a return to the understanding of childhood as a special period in a person's life. This understanding of this phenomenon has been characteristic of Russian culture and literature for many years. We have been given back a very important message, which, unfortunately, was lost not so long ago," said Alexey Lubkov.
