Vladimir Samuilovich was a shining star in the firmament of national science, a figure who defined an era in the fields of pedagogical, social, and cultural psychology. His groundbreaking research on childhood, adolescent subculture, and the sociology of education became classics and exerted a tremendous influence on generations of scientists, educators, and practitioners.
Until his final days, he headed the laboratory "Center for Sociocultural Problems of Modern Education." His scientific energy, sharp intellect, and profound wisdom served as a guiding light for all his colleagues.
This is an immense loss for Russia's entire scientific and educational community.
We express our deepest condolences to the family, friends, colleagues, and all students of Vladimir Samuilovich.
