Minister of Education Sergey Kravtsov noted that, thanks to the "Youth and Children" national project, the number of applications to teacher training institutions has risen from 455,000 in 2025 to 585,000 today. The decree will enable the creation of unified federal standards for personnel support.
Key new measures include:
-
Continuous professional development and methodological support throughout one's career.
-
Mandatory mentoring (for at least one year) for young professionals to facilitate a smooth transition into the profession.
-
Free access to digital libraries and electronic educational resources.
-
Eligibility for the "Veteran of Labor" title after 25 years of service and free admission to state museums once a month.
-
Free legal assistance and state protection against threats to life and health.
Social support: regions are encouraged to prioritize providing kindergarten spots for the children of educators. This directly improves the quality of life for educators' families, fostering the kind of supportive and welcoming environment that is so vital to our daily work.
The Government has been instructed to approve a standardized educator ID card and to streamline requirements regarding teaching loads and working hours. Regions are required to inform teachers about these new measures and are authorized to introduce additional benefits without curtailing existing ones.
This document establishes a solid foundation for those who share knowledge with children every day and open up a world of wonders to them.
