The tone of the meeting was set by Elena Pisareva, Senator of the Russian Federation, member of the Federation Council Committee on Science, Education and Culture, coordinator of the section "Psychological and pedagogical issues of education of preschool and primary school children" of the Expert Council under the Federation Council Committee on Science, Education and Culture.
In her speech, she emphasized the importance of preschool education as a foundation for successful development. "A child should go to kindergarten, and it is the word "should" that is appropriate here, since preschool education creates the support on which the child's further development is built," she noted. The senator focused on the need to form effective interaction between parents, teachers and children, which is critically important for a successful educational process.
The Federation Council understands the importance and significance of preschool education; for the prompt discussion and resolution of preschool education issues, a section “Psychological and pedagogical issues of education of preschool and primary school children” was created under the Expert Council of the Federation Council Committee on Science.
Leading experts in preschool education also took part in the plenary session. Nikolay Veraksa, Doctor of Psychology, Rector of the International Pedagogical Academy of Preschool Education, continued the discussion, emphasizing the role of quality education in the context of early childhood development. He noted that the approach to the educational process should be multifaceted and take into account modern scientific research.
Elfiya Dorofeeva, President of the Association for the Development of Quality in Preschool Education, focused on issues of innovation and quality in preschool education. She presented a number of initiatives aimed at improving educational programs and making them more accessible to various categories of children and families.
The importance of the regions' opinions was reflected in the speech of Olga Shmeleva, an expert of the Ministry of Education and Youth Policy of the Vladimir Region, and Urana Dopul, a specialist at the Department of General Education of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Tyva. They spoke about regional approaches to the implementation of educational policy and interaction with preschool institutions.
