Safety, quality and accessibility: key factors for a successful Ecosystem of Preschool Childhood

The 29th International Exhibition of Children's Goods Industry, World of Childhood-2024, opened at Expocentre. It is the largest event in the children's goods industry in Russia, Eastern Europe and the CIS.

In 2024, more than 500 companies fr om Belarus, China, Russia, Turkey and Uzbekistan are taking part in the World of Childhood Exhibition. The national exposition of Uzbekistan is presented for the first time.

Lilia Gumerova, Chairman of the Committee of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation on Science, Education and Culture, welcomed the participants of the Exhibition. She emphasized that the topic of the children's goods industry is one of the priorities for the Council of the Federation. "We consider this a strategic direction and are grateful to the regions that are working to develop this area," the senator said.

Tatyana Butskaya, First Deputy Chairman of the Committee of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation on Family, Fatherhood, Motherhood and Childhood, noted the importance of unity among all participants in the children's goods industry:

"The "Ecosystem of Childhood" is not just a trendy term, but the actual reality in which we live today. In a difficult political situation and economic challenges, by uniting, we can create a space wh ere quality, safety and accessibility of goods become fundamental principles."

Tatyana Butskaya reminded that in our world there can be no success for an individual producer or association without a favorable ecosystem.

Quality and safety in the production of children's goods is the basis that cannot be doubted. "Sturgeon can only be of the first freshness," and in the same way with children's goods: the concepts of "quality" and "safety" do not have a second freshness. It is important to understand that it is not just about healthy profits, but about how we care for the future of our children."

Aleksey Mednikov, Assistant to the First Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation and member of the State Commission for Combating Illegal Trafficking of Industrial Products, noted that the presence of Russian manufacturers at the Exhibition is increasing every year, and they compete with foreign companies with dignity. Such competition improves the quality and increases the safety of children's products.

Maxim Fateev, General Director of Expocentre, on behalf of the organizers, thanked the participants for the extensive exposition of children's goods that they presented at the Exhibition. In addition, he expressed gratitude to the relevant ministries and associations that helped create the Exhibition.

The official opening ceremony of the Exhibition was attended by the Mayor of the People's Government of Shantou City Zeng Fengbao, representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, and industry associations.
